Stephanie Parrott

Raised in a musical family, Stephanie’s love for music began in utero as she listened to her mom play the organ and piano, her parents sing, and countless concerts and classical recordings. Music was always a huge part of family life, whether it was singing around the piano, or harmonizing in the car on long road trips. Once she was old enough, Stephanie involved herself in as many choral activities as possible in middle school and high school, including voice lessons, singing with a ten-voice acapella group, being involved in school choirs and musicals, singing with the Holland Area Chamber Chorale, and going to State Honors Choirs. Her love of singing continued when she went to Calvin and sang under the direction of Dr. Pearl Shangkuan in the Women’s Chorale. A couple of years after college Stephanie was thrilled when an opportunity arose to join The Choral Scholars. She has loved making music with them ever since.

She also enjoys singing to her two children, Ava and Benjamin, on a daily basis, as well as with her preschoolers at Zeeland Christian, where she has taught for the past nine years. When she is not singing or teaching, Stephanie loves spending time with her husband Scott, children, and family and friends. They enjoy reading, playing games, hiking, camping, and biking.
